Our team sat down with Elise Ravenscroft, Director, Events & Marketing, to learn more about her and the vast wealth of knowledge she brings to Bramer Group. You can read our conversation below.

What decision gave you the most success in your career?

My decision to pivot as necessary. I’ve been able to transition my skills, shift my focus and direction to pursue new career opportunities that align more closely with my interests, goals, changing circumstances or new job offerings.

What is your most prized possession?

An antique silver locket.

Do you have a “pump up” song? If so, what is it?

Just one?! So many on that list but “I Gotta Feeling” by BlackEyed Peas is in the top 5.

Who is your hero?

My dad.

What is your advice to young people who are interested in working in government relations?

Remember that building a career in government relations requires perseverance, adaptability, and a genuine passion for public affairs. By developing your skills, building a strong network, staying informed, and remaining committed to ethical practices, you can position yourself for success in this dynamic field.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

My children.

Tell us about a memorable moment from your career.

Being involved in the dismantling of discriminatory policies, providing legal protections, and promoting greater acceptance and respect for LGBTQ+ individuals through the repeal of Don’t Ask,Don’t Tell, the invalidation of parts of DOMA, and the enactment of the HateCrimes Prevention Act.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

I would choose the power of omniscience, which is the ability to know and understand everything. Too cerebral? Then teleportation.
