Aaron Davenport retired at the rank of Captain (O-6) after over 30 years service in the U.S. Coast Guard. His final assignment was Chief Professional Officer for a fleet of over 250 ships and 8,400 sea going personnel, while also providing program oversight to a multi-billion, multi-year ship recapitalization program. During his distinguished career he served at sea accumulating 12 years of sea duty including command of two ships and one sail training vessel. Captain Davenport served on the White House Staff as a Special Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism to the White House for the Bush and Obama Administrations.

Mr. Davenport also completed senior executive fellowships at the RAND Corporation and the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science from the Coast Guard Academy, and a MS in Environmental Science, with a concentration in Industrial Hygiene and a Minor in Hazardous Materials from UCLA School of Public Health. He maintains licenses and certifications as a World Safety Organization, Certified Safety Executive and Merchant Marine Master.

While on active duty he served in three operational communities, earning over 48 awards and specialty qualifications in Marine Safety/Security, Boat Force Operations, and Afloat Operations.
