Colin Hawkins, Associate, most recently served as the Military Legislative Assistant for Senator Joni Ernst (IA) and Congressman Chris Smith (NJ-04). As the Military Legislative Assistant, Colin played a critical role in the legislative team and served as the principal advisor on all military legislative matters. Colin maintained a policy portfolio on all germane policy and legislative initiatives within Defense policy, Veteran Affairs, and the Appropriations committees. Colin began his tenure on Capitol Hill in the first session of the 117th Congress, as the first Gold Star Fellow in Congress for Congressman Trent Kelly (MS-01) before moving on as the Defense Policy Advisor.
Prior to that, Colin served as a Flight Operations Yeoman for VP-45, Patrol and Recon Squadron in the United States Navy, including managing, tracking, and executing military movements. Served as the POC for flight OPS during in-theater operations while deployed and managed all travel for 308 military members and detachments.
Colin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography Information Systems with a concentration in Geospatial Intelligence from the University of Southern Mississippi.
