Lisa A. Stewart, Senior Vice President, is an experienced Chief Strategy Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the civic and human service organization industry. Skilled in nonprofit organizations, external relations and fundraising, Lisa is a strong business development professional who served as CSO for the National Head Start Association from 2014 to 2019. Prior to joining NHSA, she was Executive Vice President of Beacon Consulting Group, Inc., a full service federal government relations consulting firm.
Lisa has over twenty-five years’ experience developing favorable public policy and representing non-profit human service and youth development organizations before the US Congress and the federal Executive Branch. She is accomplished in the development, communication, execution and sustainment of initiatives that support clients’ goals and values. Lisa continues to find her work meaningful, as it makes a difference to others in some small way.
She chairs the DC Walk to End Alzheimer’s, is a Past President of the University Club of Washington, DC and a Director of the Friends of the Bishop Strachan School, Inc., a Canadian private school. Born and raised in Toronto, Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from McGill University in Montreal.
